Wood Floor Installation
Expert installation of engineered, solid wood, laminate, and LVT floors with precision, proper preparation, and long-lasting, beautiful results.
Before laying any wooden flooring, the base must be properly prepared. On concrete or uneven surfaces, a primer is first applied, followed by а self-levelling compound to create a smooth, stable foundation. For wooden subfloors that need levelling, plywood is used to achieve a flat and even surface.
There are two main methods for installing wooden flooring: floating and glue-down.
Some wooden floors are supplied unfinished, allowing the colour and finish to be chosen after installation. Once laid, we sand the surface, apply stain if required, and seal it with high-quality lacquer or oil. This process provides full customisation, a smooth, even finish, and long-lasting protection while enhancing the natural beauty of the wood.
An expansion gap is always left around the floor to allow natural movement caused by temperature and humidity changes, preventing warping or lifting over time.
To complete the installation, we fit high-quality finishing profiles and trims, including scotia, T-bars, reducer profiles and end trims. These cover the expansion gaps, create smooth transitions between areas and give the floor a clean, professional finish that complements the interior.
